We got to celebrate my Dad's 70th birthday up in Park City with my parents and all my siblings/spouses without the little ones. Wow, it was so fun to have a little getaway(however, i did miss the little ones but knew they were in good hands with Lann's parents).
Years ago back when we were all young and living at home, my sister Amy gave my dad a yellow B.U.M. equipment sweatshirt since it was the style in those days. Well, he NEVER wore it. So the next year we wrapped it up and gave it to him again. And for years after that it kept getting re-gifted! Years later for one of his birthdays we all wrote a little message on it and wrapped it up again. Well, it's been forgotten about the last little while but lo and behold it showed up again!!!
We enjoyed a nice dinner together and watched a slideshow my brother put together with some classic photos and songs.

Then we all migrated to a cool "campfire" outside to chat and make s'mores, and swim and then warm up in the hot tub. It was a beautiful, crisp Park City night.
Happy Birthday Dad! (It was the first birthday i've been to that the birthday boy gave us all more gifts than we gave him...) I feel so blessed to be his daughter and to learn from his wisdom, kindness and love.
