Henry Lanning at 19 months...
Likes: Tractors, trucks, cars, bikes (any moving vehicle actually), he likes marshmellows, pancakes, berries and pasta(and just about anything edible), going on nature walks in the backpack and bike rides with Daddy, playing with legoes, running, walking backwards, "ring around the rosies", church(he really does!), reading books, Mother Goose nursery rhymes, sleeping with a pillow and all his vehicles...he likes SO many things right now, the list could go on and on. We are loving Henry at this age!
Recent Accomplishments: Excellent Helper! He is so great about throwing diapers away and any other trash items he finds around the house. He even does it without being asked. After he successfully throws it in the garbage he says "job" (implying "good job"). He is also learning shapes, colors and numbers. He fills in the blanks on books we've read over and over and also nursery rhymes(ie...we read "in the great green room there's a telephone and a red..." and Henry says "balloon.") He climbs on chairs. Loves to give hugs and kisses to baby sister Lizzy and is gentle with her most of the time.
Currently Working On: Learning to be patient while waiting for food, he says "patient." He's working on manners, saying "please" and "thank you" and "excuse me."(he consistently says "bless you" when someone sneezes, even himself) He's so excited about being able to get on chairs and couches he still needs to be reminded to sit only and not stand.
Sounds like Henry is a keeper. Good job teaching him manners now because when they get older it's hard to do. He's so adorable. Love you all!
