Tradition

Growing up my Mom would help us make place mats out of the cards we got from friends on valentines day...we just glued them to construction paper making collages out of them and then laminated them with contact paper...so simple but so magical to a child to be able to pull them out at dinner time during the holidays, I loved it! So even though my kids aren't at the crafting age just yet I recruited them to help me make place mats out of last years Christmas cards. That way they can get to know family and friends since we don't live very close to many of them. Hopefully it will be a fun little tradition through the coming years.
