We really enjoyed gathering at my parents home in huntsville to give thanks and celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday. It was a beautiful, calm november day. I wish i got more pictures!!!
The little ones sat at the little kids table...after dinner we made gingerbread houses. Lizzy and Louise ate all the little gingerbread men and trees that went with it;)
Everyone wrote their Christmas lists and put them in their shoe on the porch. Secretly one of Santa's elves came to gather the lists and left a surprise in the shoe. The adults got socks, henry got a slinky and lizzy and louise got a Frozen glow stick. Henry was confused why he didn't get what he put on his list(which was a zombie, robot and yo-yo) but was super happy with the slinky.
We also watched videos of the past Froerer Olympics, skeet shooting in the backyard, and ate, talked and played. My mom keeps a Thanksgiving journal that we are supposed to write what we are grateful for each year. It's fun to go back and read what's been written in past years and to also reflect on present blessings. HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!! We slept over that night and the next day watched movies, played, went for a walk to the river and the kids threw rocks in for a long time, also grandpa got out his train set from when he was a boy and showed the kids. They ooohed and aaaahed over it. Then we headed back to Idaho feeling grateful for all of our many blessings.
