Yesterday was a beautiful sunny, warm day. But in the evening just as we sent the cub scouts home after our den meeting, the rain clouds moved in. And then it began to downpour! And hail. And at first we had fun standing outside watching it, but then it got a little worrisome because it just kept coming and coming! And coming! Thankfully our house didn't flood and our neighborhood was fine but other parts of Rexburg(particularly the BYU-I campus and apartments/homes/roads/businesses at the bottom of the hill were completely flooded. This does not happen in Idaho! Usually, July is the driest month here and we hardly ever see rain.
By the time we thought to take pictures the water had already receded but here is the end of our street filled with water
Lanning took the kids one by one on the bike to see the flood aftermath. Here is H at the flooded church parking lot.
